Kashish Bastola

Kashish Bastola is a second-year student from Texas interested in studying history. As Education and Political Chair, he is committed to helping Asian students on campus advocate for their communities while also building community with other affinity groups. Kashish understands how important it is to change the narrative around Asian Americans, dispelling myths and stereotypes through storytelling, data, and organizing. He is an advocate for public education, gun violence prevention, and environmental justice in the Gulf South. On campus, Kashish works with CIVICS, PBHA, Ghungroo, AADT, and the Radcliffe Institute as well as the Student Advisory Committee of the Institute of Politics. He is also on the boards for the Nepali Student Association, South Asian Association, and Texas Club.
