Chelsea Wang

Chelsea is a junior in Cabot, studying History and Economics. She is the ultimate city child — born in Beijing, raised in Shanghai, and now lives in New York City. She was raised by her loving grandparents, and her parents taught her and her younger sister the value of her Chinese culture and language, which continue to hold the utmost importance in her identity. She came into her Asian American identity when she arrived in New Jersey for high school at the age of 15, where she suddenly found herself an ethnic minority for the first time in her life. She founded the Pan-Asian Alliance at her high school in hopes of uniting the pan-Asian community. She joined AAA as an Edu/Pol committee member because she believes in the future of Asian Americans as a political force. On campus, she also runs the Harvard Undergraduate Law Review. She’s an aspiring lawyer and academic and hopes to dedicate her life to advancing racial justice and promoting Asian American involvement in politics. She loves sunlight, long walks, and dogs with short legs. You’re likely to catch her calling her grandfather or hanging out in the Currier dining hall.
